The Libby Seed Specialist Event Saddles
Libby has been a customer of ours since 2014 when we fitted a saddle for What a Catch who had a very unusual back. Once he retired from high level competition Libby’s saddles were refitted to all her event horses and as she moved up the levels it was identified that what she needed for show jumping was not what she needed for cross country. hence we designed her a new special saddle to support her over the challenging fences such as Badminton . Therefore let us introduce the Libby Seed Specialist Event Saddles, designed for the discerning Event rider.
The Libby Seed CCX Cross Country Saddle .
The CCX is Libby’s newest saddle which she used for Badminton 2025, the saddle still has a flatter seat profile with a more supportive square cantle to give rider support on takeoff but without interfering on the way down or catching a body protector. The knee roll is more forward with a shorter angled flap, especially useful on a large drop fence.
The CCX is also has the soft knee roll support allowing for shoulder freedom and is available with a thick protective memory foam panel for event horses with high withers like Angel and a flocked panel for the flatter , rounder types. The Saddle is available in Black or Havana Brown, tree sizes 16.5” to 18.5” with custom leather colors, piping , bling and customer seat and flap shapes if required with standard saddles available for £2595.00 inc vat
The Libby Seed Bascule Show Jumping Saddle
The original Bascule close contact monoflap was made for Libby and What a catch back in 2014. Designed with the adjustable Velcro knee block of the elevation which is designed to sit above the thigh to allow freedom of movement for the rider with a flexible knee roll support to allow maximum freedom of the horse’s shoulder . The tree on the show jumping saddle is flatter with an unobtrusive cantle to allow the rider maximum space to move their body backwards to maintain a balanced position over a large fence .
Available in soft buttery leather Black and Brown leather as standard , seat sizes 16.5” to 18.5” with custom leathers, coloured piping and bling available for custom orders. With the option of either a thick memory foam panel for event horses with high withers and a large wither pocket and soft flocked panels for the flatter, rounder types.
